how to read tarot cards for people and to yourself?
i bought a tarot card deck with a book “the lost tarot of nostradamus” yesterday. (my mom use to do stuff like this when she was younger but when i ask her about it she gets all defensive and says you shouldnt play with tarot cards and stuff like that. but i like stuff like this i dont know why but anyways..i am practicing but i still dont know if their true because im new to this tarot readings. can anyone help me? i dont what to know the past,pressent,of future ones..i want to know how to do the romance,money,health and happiness,and career if you know what im talking about..thanks

What makes mass produced playing cards magical? The cardboard or the inks? Tarots are a form of divination. Basically the “reader” is a psychic with the cards a prop of randomness. There are 78 different cards, much more than regular cards. If you ever played poker, you know how rare certain combinations are. Having back to back royal flushes is near impossible. Repeating spreads for Tarots are impossible because position matters too.

Tarot has been a real game for centuries before they were used to do fortunes. Like astrologers, no two will read the cards alike.

You get guinea pigs, and by guinea pigs I mean people that want readings. I read for people in school. it took me about 4 months to get “good” at it, and by good I mean not needing the book any more. As far as doing it right, get more books, the more you learn the better. There is no one right way, but there is the way that works for you. Good luck. You will know you are doing it right because people will say “wow, thats freaky or wow, that was dead on”. Also, join a tarot group on facebook. You’ll find all kinds of people from different walks of life. Good luck to you and congrats on your new deck.

Does any one know how to make tarot cards out of a deck of cards?
My friend told me she read a book once that told her how to make tarot cards out of a deck of cards, she was wondering if anyone knew a site to tell her how to do so? Or if anyone out there has done it for themselves. I have searched for her, and found nothing.

Try these sites. I have a friend who knew what each card meant with a regular deck. But I don’t recommend playing around with it. Won’t tell you not to do it, though. I just know friends of mine who “messed around” with occult activities and basically ended up mentally ill. Or maybe they were already ill and it just fed on it. Don’t know. Just be careful, OK?

it’s really hard to turn a regular deck of cards into a deck of tarot cards. the minor arcana is no big deal, but the major arcana is going to be hard to do. plus, if its a deck that has been used a lot, other people’s energies are infused into the cards and will mess up your readings when you do them. my suggestion is to go to a book store and go to the new age section. you need to pick a deck that you can hold in your hand and feel the energy coming from the cards. if it is a good energy, then that is the deck for you. otherwise, dont get it. decks normally run around 14-20 dollars depending on what deck it is and where you get them. i wish you luck, and please be careful when using them. metaphysics is dangerous to get involved with and should be approached with caution. never read too much into your cards. actually i suggest you deal out your cards and write down which layout you used and what cards were in which position. then a few weeks later, interperet your cards and see if what your cards said happened. if you put too much faith in your cards and interpret right away, you might do something you wouldnt do otherwise. i hope this information helps you in the near future.
